Got a new wacom tablet (Bamboo one for those interested.)
It also came with a good art program, ArtRage, so now I'm on good drawing form again! :D
Will hopefully be able to add some new stuff over the coming weeks, though the quality of said stuff can't be guaranteed.

Started drawing again. Thought I'd better before things got worse. Also caught up on One Piece chapters (418 in... three weeks I think? I really have too much time on my hands.) Also found the completed Shaman King chapters! Woo! At last! I really wanted to read those (Shaman King pretty much one of my favourite mangas, always slightly annoyed that there wasn't a complete ending.) Anyway, something should be uploaded soon-ish (hopefully).

Well, it had to happen sometime. Yes, my drawing skills have entered their hopeless phase - basically anything I draw will look rubbish, regardless of the amount of time I spend on it. So for now I'll probably be uploading old pictures that I've found lying around.

Firstly One Piece:

Darn it! Why does it keep taking breaks with great big cliffhangers! It's getting annoying! Rrrrgh... apart from that nothing to really comment here.

Secondly Naruto:

Interesting. It appears that my theory about Tobi/Madara is edging towards being correct and that he is nothing more than an eye and a withered ghostly body held together by his chakra - which goes some way to explaining why his body is yet to be seen and why everything goes through him. This is similar in thought as to the Warlock Lord in Terry Brook's Sword of Shannara.

Firstly a moan: why is it I can't find any art pens anymore? Before, when I wasn't interested in them, they were everywhere! Now that I want to use them, I can't find them anymore!

My recent lack of adding new stuff has primarily been due to a lack of inspiration and my drawing skills descending to their mire again. On that note, is it just me or does anyone else think that DA is a really bad place to search for inspiration? I get really down when I look around and discover that everyone else draws so much better than me...

This is something I'm considering doing. Well, I'll definitely being doing a one-of-comic about the AeroBlades thing over the December holiday (two weeks away!) If that proves successful enough, then I might turn it into a serial (a fortnightly thing.) I just have some ideas about it and I find drawing comics is the best way to improve my own drawing skills.

Anyways, I'll see how things go, but I am interested to know what outside opinion is - interested, mortified, couldn't care...

Right, so today, whilst wandering around a shop, I picked up a copy of Naruto and perused through it. It was the one dealing with Itachi's death. Or not as it turns out. Right, it was in French, but I'm pretty competent in French and was pretty confused when I stumbled upon Zetsu saying "[Les flammes noire sont pas etenie ca vu dire] que Itachi n'est pas mort." Roughly translated that is "because the black flames have not gone out that means that Itachi is not dead."

So either my French is worse than I thought, the english translation I read was shite, or I really wasn't

I won't be uploading anything for a bit, cause I want to practice colouring and fiddling about with the GIMP software.

And the essay I was supposed to write over the holiday, that I haven't done, haven't done any readings or research for and which I don't know when it is due (though I think it's soon after I get back) is a factor.

Well I'm back from my short break. Don't groan so loud...

In other news Sam Rami and Toby Maguire have left the Spider-Man movies and Sony is planning on rebooting them. This begs a question: why? I could understand a change of star and a change of director, but why go all the way back to the beginning of the story, rather than continuing on?

Odds of 2/1 that they go with a "much darker and grittier version of the story" ala Batman Begins and Dark Knight...

Yesterday, whilst talking with someone, I was told that I was a nice guy. I was then also reminded of that immortal phrase 'nice guys finish last.'

I've been thinking about it, wondering why that phrase seemed so true when I hit upon the answer:

Nice guys finish last because their helping everyone else over the finish line.

And on that depressing note, I shall slouch back to attempting to get better at colouring pictures.

I was going to have a long rant about this but decided there wasn't any point.

This is the first I've heard about this. Basically you can pay somebody, called a taxidermist, to kill an animal of your choice and specifications. He will then either skin it or stuff it for you.

So Avatar and the Hurt Locker, predictably lead the way with nine nominations, but just behind is Inglorious Basterds with eight. Personally I hope that Avatar doesn't win best picture or director (don't think its good enough) & hope Tarantino finally gets the directors statue. And hopefully Up will get best picture, if only because Pixar deserve a best picture for all their previous stuff. Can't comment on Hurt Locker cause I haven't seen it (I hear opposing views about it though - critics love it, a lot of the public don't.)

On another matter, I'm really, really bad at submitting new stuff =p

Ace is dead o_0!!!
That is definitely going down as one of the most harrowing and, I must admit, brilliant moments in the manga. Although, admittedly, I did suspect that it was going to happen.

Warning - Spoilers (though admittedly you can work out the movie's plot within the first ten minutes)


Clash of the Titans, which I saw a few days ago, is a remake of the film of the same name that was made in 1981, I believe. And it's all right for a piece of entertainment, but not much more than that. The film is loosely based on the story of Perceus. Loosely being the important word.

Okay, so I've decided that I'm going to do something a bit different. I'm going to write three, fairly short... essays or pieces or something on the three questions listed below (all three are kind of philosophical in nature, so if you don't like that stay away). There's no real purpose behind it, except that it gives me something to do and I thought I might as well.

Said questions are:

Can fictional characters have free will?

Is Monkey D. Luffy a pirate?

I've got a host of third question running around my head at the moment, so I'll add that when I remember which one I wanted to use.
